Job Introduction

We’re hiring for Support Workers in Clevedon!

Do you enjoy working with children?  

We’re looking for outgoing, active and dynamic individuals with a can-do attitude and a desire to help someone live a full life.

As a children’s support worker, you’ll be flexible to support across the week including weekends and nights. You will be supporting children between the ages of 5 – 18 to take part in lots of fun and engaging activities such as going to parks, beach days and swimming as well as in house activities such as sensory play and arts and crafts. You would also be supporting independent skills such as preparing meals drinks and washing dishes.    

The support you provide will be centred around each person’s values, preferences and needs which could include many different activities.

As the young people come for a 24hr overnight stay you will also support with personal care and medication needs, all training will be provided for this.  

A full clean UK manual driving licence is essential for this role.

  • Sleep-ins paid at £60 extra (basic salary £12.81- £13.08p/h)

  • Rota's are planned in advance.

  • Enrolled onto Childcare level 3 qualification

You will:

Your responsibilities: 

  • To empower the people, we support to live the lives they want to lead 
  • To develop daily living skills. 
  • Support the people we support to access their communities for socialisation, training or friendships 
  • To contribute to, develop and implement the individuals care plans. 
  • To communicate effectively and professionally with people we support, their family members, and external professionals. 
  • Maintain the health needs of the individuals we support
